The Temple of Mazu in Jiufen, the tutelary deity of seafarers, and patroness of the seas, celebrated its 100th anniversary. Much like in our corner of the world, the Taoist celebrations in town included large troops of people dancing, playing music, and, of course, lots of pyrotechnics.
