Every July 25, La Antigua Guatemala celebrates its town patron saint, Apóstol Santiago. Several activities took place throughout the day. The celebration was kicked off with a mass commemorating the saint at La Antigua Guatemala’s Cathedral. Various local schools, public and private, participated in a parade which depicted different traditions, local legends, and various aspects of the city’s culture.
